Teen threatened of rape via SMS

KUALA TERENGGANU: A sex fiend used the short messaging service (SMS) to threaten to rape a teenager he secretly admired, after the girl turned down his advances.

The accused is believed to have stalked the teenager since last week and sent lewd SMSes with accurate details of her clothing and location.

State CID chief Asst Comm Mohd Fauzi Abduri said the teenager was terrified as the accused claimed he knew where she lived and threatened to rape her at 5pm on Wednesday when her family was away.

However, the accused sent another SMS saying he was aborting the plan as it was raining heavily, but promised to do it in the next few days, said ACP Mohd Fauzi here recently.

The teenager, from Kampung Amer in Gelugor Kedai near here, later lodged a police report.

ACP Mohd Fauzi said that police were tracing the accused through the number on the teenager’s cellphone.

In another case, a Form Four student reported at Jetih police station that her classmate had touched her private parts when they skipped extra classes and went out on a date on Wednesday.

ACP Mohd Fauzi said the 16-year-old student had confessed this to a teacher upon being questioned about her absence from school.
