Fresh leads in SMS threat case
KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu police have obtained new leads on the April 13 case of the SMS death threats on three Barisan Nasional assemblymen.
State police chief Senior Asst Comm 1 Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan confirmed that police were close to solving the case.
“It is only a matter of time before the suspect is apprehended but I can’t divulge more information for now,” he said when contacted yesterday.
It is learnt that police received vital input from a 31-year-old clerk who was arrested on April 20 in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, to assist in the investigation.
The clerk, who is also a blogger, was freed on police bail.
The SMS was sent to assemblymen Datul Rosol Wahid (Ajil), Abdul Halim Jusoh (Permaisuri) and Zakaria Abdullah (Paka).
