Other victims of snatch thieves
- March 30, 2009: Clerk Nurul Fatimah Ali, 19, of Kampung Pulau Ketam in Kuala Terengganu crashed into two cars while pursuing two snatch thieves on her motorcycle, leaving her in a coma and a broken arm. She was riding her motorcycle against the flow of traffic on the Sultan Mahmud bridge when she suffered the horrific crash.
- Dec 10, 2008: Lim See Nya, 58, of Lunas in Kedah, was killed instantly when she was run over by a lorry after falling in front of the vehicle when her handbag was snatched at 11.30am in Jalan Cheok Sah, Bukit Mertajam.
- Oct 2, 2007: A 66-year-old retired teacher in Johor Baru was killed after being hit on the head by snatch thieves in Century Garden. Elizabeth Chew Gaik Im was walking towards a coffee shop for breakfast when snatch thieves attacked her. A friend found her bleeding on the head and her handbag was missing.
- Dec 20, 2007: Housewife Sim Ah Guat, 71, was attacked outside a relative's house in Teluk Pulai, Klang by a snatch thief. Her son, Gan Kim Hock, 48, said his father had gone to get his car, parked some distance away, leaving his mother alone for a few minutes. When he returned, he found her on the ground with a cut on her right hand. Sim was taken to a hospital but died several hours later.
- Aug 6, 2006: Ng Chiew Lim, 23, fell down a staircase in a Kuantan shopping complex after a struggle with a snatch thief. She was taken to the Kuantan Medical Centre but died the next day. Norman Mohamad, 24, unemployed, was caught by the complex security guards and sentenced to five years jail for causing her death.
